How are PowWow's services different?
All PowWow clients receive one on one personalized assistance with their job hunt. Whether it is crafting a new resume, or preparing you for a specific interview, the advice you get is tailored to your situation. PowWow’s appeal to customers can be easily summed with this phrase: Personal Attention. PowWows (from the Native American pau wau) were traditionally meetings held prior to a hunt. The purpose of the powwow was to prepare the hunters for the trials ahead. PowWow Consulting provides the modern equivalent to the traditional pau wau, by preparing the job hunter for the job market. My goal is to provide useful tools and information to help you succeed in your hunt. Just as a hunter would not attempt to hunt without proper tools and knowledge, the job hunter should not perform their search without a proper resume and plan of action. Having done significant market research on my competitors I can safely say that this concept of actively working with clients is unique. My belief is that your decision to work with me stems from an honest desire to achieve your employment goals. How can someone effectively help you if they are unaware of what your goals truly are?

What will my hourly rate be and how is that determined?
Our Sliding scale is based on your Current Salary. It is correlated to exactly how much you can afford.
Current Salary $20-30k = $45.00 hourly rate
Current Salary $31-49k = $55.00 hourly rate
Current Salary $50-60k = $65.00 hourly rate
Current Salary $61-70k = $75.00 hourly rate
Current Salary $71-80k = $85.00 hourly rate
Current Salary $81-90k = $95.00 hourly rate
Current Salary $91-100k = $110.00 hourly rate
Current Salary $101-149k = $125.00 hourly rate
Current Salary $150 -$200k = $140.00 hourly rate
Current Salary $200 + = $155.00 hourly rate
*Current Salary= Full compensation including base salary and bonuses. If you are not currently employed "Current Salary" will represent the amount you made prior to unemployment. Please note you may be required to prove salary with a copy of your most current w2 (or 1099) as appropriate. No personal information other than your salary will be required.
Please note conveniently your hourly rate never changes during the duration of your hunt... no matter which services you purchase!!
The standard Session billing structure requires my clients to pre-pay a minimum of 1 hours worth of time (which can later be supplemented if more time is required) per session. This will include a 10% fee if the appointment is canceled without the necessary 24 hour notice. All payments are processed through paypal.com and can conveniently be handled using a variety of methods.
How much will my resume cost?
Standard Resumes are billed as 2.5 hours of time and include your 1 hour session, free tune ups for one month and 1 standardized cover letter that can quickly be edited for a variety of positions.

Current Salary $20-30k = $55 hourly rate
1 hour session+ 1.5 hour resume writing time = 2.5 billed hours = $137.50
Current Salary $200 + = $185 hourly rate
1 hour session+ 1.5 hour resume writing time = 2.5 billed hours = $462.50
